Each 4" stick burns for about 25 mins to half an hour.
Sustainably grown and harvested sage (a mixture of white and common sage) is mixed with makko (an inner bark that works like charcoal to keep everything burning), and acacia gum mixed with water for binding, to form a "dough" which is layered onto raw untreated bamboo sticks.
Burning real sage, or smudging, is a tradition performed for centuries by various Indigenous cultures.
