Shy, beautiful juncos often appear in the garden in the autumn and early winter when the seedheads from some of their favourite flowers have matured. This drawing was inspired by one of the junco’s favourite flowers to snack on and one of my favourite flowers to grow, the sunny yellow black-eyed Susan.
